Production decision record (ADR)

A one-page record of a production design decision, with context, decision, alternatives, labelled evidence, consequences, revisit triggers and an owner.

In detail

For a GenAI feature it also lists the data flow, retriever and generation choices with their evidence, the security controls proven by tests, observability and rollback, and the budget per 1,000 requests with its basis. It separates measured from hypothetical numbers so a successor can see what was assumed.
