Point-in-time join

A join that attaches to each row the version of another table's data that existed at that row's decision time, and no later version.

In detail

For a 30-days-out forecast, join the booking-curve snapshot with days_to_departure = 30; for a dimension with history, join on key and validity dates. It prevents both fan-out and leakage from information recorded after the decision.
