Pickup forecast
A booking forecast equal to bookings on hand at the cutoff plus the average additional bookings ("pickup") that similar past departures gained from that point to departure.
In detail
A standard revenue-management baseline. It is additive; a multiplicative variant scales bookings on hand by a historical ratio. Compute the historical pickup only from departures that had flown before the forecast date.
