Whiteboard case. Design a system that chooses which of six ancillary offers (seat, bag, lounge, meal, upgrade, none) to show each customer during booking, 200,000 impressions per day. You must learn from its own decisions, keep revenue safe, and be able to evaluate new policies offline before exposing customers.

Tests: Decision-system design with exploration, logged propensities, off-policy evaluation, guardrails and feedback loops.
