Introduced on day 59

Socratic follow-up

A question rather than an objection that asks you to locate the weakest claim in your own answer, such as "which cutoff drives this?" or "what would change your mind?".

In detail

In a senior interview or design review it tests whether you can find, quantify and respond to the thin part of an answer. A strong response restates the question, says what it tests, checks the evidence, concedes what the evidence shows and narrows the claim; it neither defends the first answer unchanged nor abandons it.
