The set of configurations that no other configuration beats on cost, latency and quality at once; constraints then pick one from this set.
In detail
Evaluate every candidate (model, context size, caching, routing) on the same golden set, including critical slices. A configuration is dominated when another is at least as good on every axis and better on one. Cost per successful task, not price per token, is the cost axis.
